Being on the move is nothing new for Mark and Karla. Their involvement begins each day before most of us have our first cup of coffee. As business owners and members of the community their commitments are vast, yet their attention never wanes. Whether it was fastening their little one into her carseat before appearing on screen for Zoom calls or picking up your call mid ring, they always approached each interaction with a smile that came through the phone.

Brasada Ranch is a destination to recharge and live off grounds. It included inclusive experiences and amenities to feel like a modern-day rancher without the toils of work and heavy lifting.  As a destination for backcountry horseback riding or hiking untamed lands, the community pulls you back to a more simple way of living without the sacrifices of modern niceties.

Their aesthetic unconsciously was driven by this ethos. By coupling rustic western signatures with visually arresting adds of contemporary, the home became this seamless extension of their community. The grounding and figurative spine of the home is a floor to ceiling Montana Moss sandstone that runs from the entry space, down the hall before, turning guests into views of the living and outdoor trapezoidal pool deck. The impact and juxtaposition to this unassuming look is punctuated with the application of modern appliances, matte black finish door and window packages, and full height oversized powder coated steel cabinets and backsplashes.

With our soft furnishings, a warmth and weathered quality is celebrated with the reclaimed oak dining, coffee and side tables. Signifiers to connect and soften the room with naturals and beautiful patina leather were front of mind. The wood stained clapboard wrap rounds the building envelope. Texturally, the clients lean towards weathered, recovered woods and antlers brings comfort and less complication. Performance Belgian linen fabrics in natural and dependable Italian boucle charcoals brings durability and ease of mind with little children and dogs in mind.
